DVT Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for test, validation and approval of Optical Networking Products. Recreate customer networking environment to validate and document approved product operations. Configure and deploy various networking equipment into to test lab to support production environments. Work with a variety of new and existing product solutions to ensure customer adoption and product quality. Engage in product release workflow and provide value to customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup Test Environment based on customer needs

• Validate Product operations consistent with OEM requirements

• Document Test typology and testing results as per company guidelines

• Configure, Document and Deploy networking equipment into lab production environment

• Ensure lab equipment is updated with current or approved operating systems

• Support multiple departments and external customers with issues

• Design test plans and test cases to validate new products and improve existing products.

• Perform product validation and verification of hardware in field or lab environment.

• Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities.

• Design and implement design test tools for review and verification process.

• Prepare production test processes and develop test plans and prepare test reports.

• Administer various debug tools to conduct failure analysis.

• Develop tests and debugging tools to analyze the functionality of hardware systems.

• Monitor and implement test processes on hardware systems.

• Provide training to new employees to implement test procedures.

• Develop new test procedures and enhance existing ones to ensure products’ reliability and usability.

• Analyze all products to identify any manufacturing defect and resolve all hardware issues in coordination with development engineers.

• Prepare plans for validation methods, tools and processes for various tests.

• Prepare and submit reports on progress and status of all testing procedures.

• Ensure compliance to electrical safety procedures and rules are strictly adhered to.

• Provide training to factory workers on testing and debugging products.

• Analyze and resolve all hardware test issues to provide state of art products.

Skills and Attributes Required:

Experience with various computer operating systems such as Windows and Linux

Experience with various networking operating systems from Cisco, Juniper and Arista

Working knowledge of physical Network Layers and functions

Experience with FTP, TCP, HTTP, ARP applications

Industry Certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA are plus

Solid technical ability and proven ability to learn new networking concepts

Understand Network OSI layers and functions

Understanding of fundamental Network equipment

Understanding of Serial Communication standards and connectivity

Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal English communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

Motivated and Enthusiastic

Continued self-investment with training, reading and certifications

    Job Summary

    The role of the Strategic Account Manager is to source new sales opportunities and cultivate customer relationships by fielding inbound sales inquiries as well as engaging in outbound customer/prospect solicitation with strategic named accounts. The account manager is part of the AddOn Sales Team and complements and supports the sales effort of the entire team and executes sales strategies defined by Sales Management. This role is largely an inside tele sales position but may require business travel and face-to-face interaction with named account managers and their customers on an as-need basis. Well established relationships at any or all of the following resellers is a MUST for this role. Sycomp, Datec, Penguin, Trace3, Advanced Network Management, Computacenter.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Respond to all inquiries and requests received via email or phone from named account managers in the quickest possible manner. A response to a named account manager should rarely take more than 15 minutes from the time the inquiry is received, and never take more than 30 minutes except in extreme and justified situations.

    • Strive to deliver a level of service and support that is above & beyond all industry competition

    • Daily review of the distribution Open Quote Report and POS Report, creation of bid pricing, and follow up with corresponding named account managers

    • Present, promote, and sell products using solid arguments to named account managers and their customers

    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships

    • Initiate & engage named account managers and their customers in face-to-face events (i.e. lunch, dinner, happy hours, other events and forms of entertainment)

    • Record all solicitation and activity in the company CRM

    • Follow the companies processes and procedures for all sales quotes and bid activity

    • Keep pipeline reporting up-to-date, detailed, and accurate

    • Hold him or herself accountable for his/her activity level as it pertains to sales engagement

    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction

    • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule

    • High level of product knowledge across all AddOn product lines

    • Supply management with information and reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services

    • Participate in all required companywide or management initiated trainings and meetings

    • Provide requested and timely reporting when requested by management

    • Keep detailed & accurate records of all reimbursable business expenses and complete expense reports using company guidelines

    • Be accountable to work schedule and work presence
